The importance of thinking local first

The aim of the Scotland Loves Local campaign is to reach as many people as possible about the importance of thinking local first. We want as many individuals and organisations to get involved in the campaign and help spread the word!

How to get involved

1

Spend locally yourself.

2

Use your social media as a call to action for everyone to choose local, using the hashtags #ScotlandLovesLocal and #ChooseLocal. You can also use our branding pack.

3

Share your case studies with us, showcasing how your local area is supporting the love local message.

4

Spend locally using the Scotland Loves Local Gift Card (which is also a great gift for friend or reward for colleagues and volunteers!). If you’re a business owner, register your business to accept it.

5

Use your social media platforms to share information about your local businesses and the fantastic products they have on offer.

6

Contact your local Councillor, MSP or MP and encourage them to support the campaign.
