Businesses can show their staff how much they love them AND their local area this Christmas – thanks to the Scotland Loves Local Gift Card.
Scotland Loves Local Gift Cards – available regionally across the country – are the perfect way to share a financial reward which is then reinvested directly with other businesses around you.
“Everyone wins,” says Phil Prentice, Chief Officer of Scotland’s Towns Partnership (STP), the organisation which spearheads the Scotland Loves Local campaign, of which the gift card is part.
Scotland Loves Local is the drive to help create a better future for communities by encouraging people to think, choose and spend locally. The gift card allows people to do exactly that – including helping to improve local economies through corporate rewards programmes.
As a special offer alongside project partners Miconex, the campaign is offering a limited number of major businesses across Scotland a special incentive to choose the Scotland Loves Local Gift Card this Christmas, more details about which you can read here.
The first 10 major Scottish businesses which purchase Scotland Loves Local Gift Cards for Christmas will get 10 £50 gift cards at half price.
Kimberley Guthrie, Director of Operations at STP, added: “We think this is a great offer which allows you not only to reward your staff, but provides the perfect present to other local businesses. As you may know, Scotland Loves Local Gift Cards can only be spent in the region in which they are branded, meaning money is locked into the local economy.
“As well as showing your staff how much their work is appreciated, we can also work with your marketing departments to show through the media and social media how your generosity is supporting the wider community – perhaps even encouraging others to follow your lead. If you are one of the 10 first businesses to take up our gift card offer, you will be listed online as a Scotland Loves Local campaign supporter.”
Research by Miconex, the Peth-based fintech, has found that 85% of people prefer to receive a gift card, rather than cash in their salary, as a corporate reward.
Furthermore, three-quarters prefer a multi-outlet card such as Scotland Loves Local to those for a single retailer. Of those questioned, 99% said it was important to support local this festive season.
STP would love the chance to discuss the opportunities available for businesses to be local heroes in their communities this Christmas.
