The special achievements of our Scotland Loves Local Awards winners have been celebrated on the national stage.
A special reception recognising the impact that each of the recipients have on their communities was held as part of Scotland’s Towns Conference in Perth.
Each of the winners in attendance was invited on to the stage by Scotland’s Towns Partnership Chief Officer Kimberley Guthrie as she thanked them for all that they do.
Among those who enjoyed the celebration drinks reception were Henry Jinman of Vicinity, the firm which sponsored our first ever Town of the Year award.
He met Andrew Spence and Kay MacDonald of BID4Oban, who represented the community at the event.
The awards recipients were there, including representatives of Letham Climate Challenge in Perth, whose work took the Most Enterprising Community title.
Our High Street Heroes – eight selected regionally from across Scotland – were also in attendance.
The occasion was a chance for many of the recipients to meet each other and learn about the work that each does in their community, as well as to take in some of the big talking points around the future of towns which was discussed at the conference.
