Thank you to everyone who supported Scotland Loves Local Week 2025

Scotland Loves Local Week 2025 was a tremendous success, with people and communities the length and breadth of the country championing the call for the nation to choose local.

Now we need everyone to live that mantra the whole year through, creating stronger, more sustainable futures for the places that we are proud to call home.

Scotland Loves Local Week is organised by Scotland’s Towns Partnership (STP).

Chief Officer Kimberley Guthrie said: “We’ve learned so much about new enterprise, entrepreneurs and existing businesses which really make our towns and places special.

“Scotland Loves Local Week has reminded us all of the tremendous difference we all make every time that we choose local.”

Throughout Scotland Loves Local Week we have seen and highlighted:

  • How People Make Places
  • The great political support that exists for choosing local
  • The critical part that Business Improvement Districts play in improving communities
  • The £283m impact of everyone in Scotland spending just £1-a-week with the nation’s local businesses
  • The multi-million pound difference that the Scotland Loves Local Gift Card can deliver for communities

It is five years since the launch of Scotland Loves Local – and the need to support local businesses and the people behind them is as important as ever.
