Watch the video: As Scotland Loves Local Week draws to a close, Made in Stirling has thanked its volunteers for all they do – highlighting the gratitude that we can all express to everyone working make our places better all over the country. We’ve also been finding out more about Made in Stirling.
The invaluable role of volunteers in driving transformation to make communities better has been marked as part of Scotland Loves Local Week.
Made in Stirling is among the enterprises which has been celebrating the fact that People Make Places over the past seven days.
The vision, determination and dedication of its team – and those who support them – has seen the community interest company transform the former Wilkies department store in the city centre into a thriving venue, including shop, gallery and workshop spaces.

Marking Scotland Loves Local Week, Paul Jenkins, Made in Stirling’s Commercial and Creative Director, said: “Made In Stirling wouldn’t be the success it is without the help of our amazing community of volunteers.
“From artists and makers who exhibit with us, to those who donate their time because they love what we do here.
“Our volunteers make us who we are, and we want to say a big THANK YOU.
“Shop local, support small business and #lovelocal.”

Earlier this week, Made in Stirling helped us highlight the fact that almost £280m-a-year more could be driven into Scotland’s economy if everyone spent just £1-a-week more with local businesses, with Paul saying: “Our mission is to revitalise the high street and make Stirling not only a centre they visit for its heritage, but for all of the amazing local businesses we have across Stirlingshire.”
The statistics were shared by Scotland’s Towns Partnership, the organisation which spearheads Scotland Loves Local with support from the Scottish Government.
